Dr. Schramm Uses Dental Implants to Fill in Your Smile Gaps

At Schramm Dentistry, we know that missing teeth affects your self-confidence, and keeps you from smiling. But did you know that missing teeth also affects the strength and stability of your jawbone?

The jaw’s purpose is to nourish and support tooth roots. If teeth are missing, the jaw no longer has a purpose and begins to disintegrate. If the bone begins the resorption process then your jaw weakens and your face loses structure.

It’s not always possible to keep your natural teeth, especially if you experience dental traumas, periodontitis, severe tooth decay, or root canal infections. However, dental implants mimic real tooth roots. The posts are made from a biocompatible material called titanium. The bone will fuse around the titanium posts, which means your jaw remains strong and healthy.

The post is capped by a porcelain crown, which looks and feels just like a real teeth. Dental implants can also be used to anchor dentures and partials and crowns and bridges. You’ll no longer have to worry about your dental prosthesis slipping, or about slurring your words!

Dental implants are often the best solution for missing teeth. And when you smile? No one will be able to tell the difference!
